You do realize that the software was not developed for the rf devices? The program is to interface the rf unit with the computer. The computer interface software just happens to have the GUI and windows for their multi band rf units.
I have a five band HF radio. I bought a 2m band rf unit that showed up as a 4 band unit in the software and the radio. What I want to know is is there any way to resolve this? I am trying to set up a 5 band radio that I want to use for both 2m and 40m. This was not my idea. My ham buddies sold me their five band radio and I now want to hook mine up to their comport and use the software they have developed. I assume it is the same software because their software displays 5 separate windows when the radio is powered on.
Hello James - The 777+ are slightly different to the Intek units - their power level is different. It is like this - the Intek 5050's provide 5 Watts, whereas the 777+ provides between 5 and 50 Watts of power. The other difference is that the Intek units are all dual band, whereas the 777+ is only single band.
Hi Patrick - I'm not sure how much more power the 777+ provides than the Intek 5050's. The Intek units offer the same amount of power as the 777+ - I just don't know how much more. But you will always need more power than you have available in the band you are operating in.
From the feedback I have seen so far, the Intek units are more powerful than the 777+ - certainly enough to provide good reception in the region where the Intek units operate. I would suggest trying an Intek unit to see which suits your needs.
Some applications, such as Java, require that the application directories and libraries are updated to a newer version before the user can update. However, there are some applications that are not explicitly API-specific, such as the X Window System, the X server source code, are automatically updated as required.
