When you're practicing, never get discouraged. You probably won't hear anyone but that's OK, because it's not about whether you will make your dream. It's about how focused you are and your dedication to it. The most important thing is that you practice and practice, because it's the only way to learn!
If your portfolio shows you are able to shoot well with a cell phone, that is a plus but not the deciding factor. Try to have a cell phone and camera. Not only do I think it will be easier for you to shoot with it, it is also more fun for the client. Try to focus on shooting in front of a cloudy day or something that has a lot of character to it. Shoot as much as you can in the studio. Having a backdrop or lighting creates a certain environment that may not exist outside of the studio. Having good lighting is a very big deal because it is the most important thing to photography. You want to make sure at every shoot life and light is filled with great light and not crappy light. Use the same camera settings for each shoot.
You can get a modeling job with a talent agent for between $100-$350 an hour and it's more than that if you're selected to an exclusive agency. You're paying for his or her services but with experience, you can make as much as $1,000 an hour or more. So it's definitely a better way to get into fashion modeling. d2c66b5586
