Back in the main timeline, Ven. Horo announces that he is calling a meeting of the LDO. The meeting starts, with Horo giving a report on his latest expedition to the Land of Magic. In Japan, the Queen survives, but the rest of the kingdom is devastated. Mepple also notes that the Public Safety Bureau are pressuring them to speed up the Bit Crave Commission.
Ren enters the meeting and announces that he will no longer remain an LDO Knight, as he has decided to remain in Japan. He explains that he feels apologetic and heavy-hearted after the Queen was injured and nearly died. He apologizes to everyone and asks them for forgiveness. Square is relieved that Ren is leaving, as he has been blaming him for what happened.
After Horo expresses his gratitude to Ren for staying behind, he explains that there are more people than ever before who want to become Knights and that it is especially hard to choose. He also explains that the Magic Defense Department has decided to enlist the aid of all knights in the hopes that a single Silver Knight can stop the Dark Army. As such, the Magic Defense Department have increased their funding for the Knights and added even more recruits to the Order. They have also increased the budget for the Bit Crave Commission to deal with the effects of the outside world. Horo states that the cost of maintaining all the Knights has increased to the point that they cannot afford to raise wages, so they are planning on merging the Ordinaire (a part-time job) and the Innoculous (a one-time job) positions into one. Horo also asks the crowd not to take this negatively, as their position has been compromised to prevent their attack from being interrupted.
Black arrives and gives her report, explaining that the witch lost the battle when Horo used his powers to strengthen the Diamond Line. Because of this, Yuuko is now in the best condition she's been in since she was trapped on the Dead Holy Island. d2c66b5586
